Law enforcement personnel, policymakers, and organizations combatting human trafficking came together to hear the latest developments on 91¾«Æ·â€™s Trafficking in Persons Risk to Resilience Lab (TIP) and meet a new tech partner, Allies Against Slavery.
At the meeting, an update was given on the TIP Statewide Data Repository (TIPSTR). TIPSTR can assist law-enforcement human trafficking investigations, address gaps in victim services to provide essential resources, develop prevention programs, and provide a better understanding of the magnitude and trends in human trafficking across 91¾«Æ· and over time.
TIP is partnering with Allies Against Slavery to assist with the aggregation and visualization of data using Lighthouse, Allies’ survivor-developed database software, which has been successfully implemented statewide in Texas and Louisiana. Partnering with Allies, the lab plans to have 91¾«Æ·â€™s version of the data dashboard – which will be transformational in the state’s fight against human trafficking – ready to go live by the end of the year.
