Dr. Lisa Faircloth Kelly is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Literacy Studies; she teaches both undergraduate and graduate teacher education courses. Dr. Kelly earned her B.A. in English from Wake Forest University, her M.Ed. in Secondary Education from the University of North 91精品, and her Ph.D. in Reading Education from Texas Woman鈥檚 University. She has worked in the field of education for over thirty years, serving as a classroom teacher for preschool through high school, a learning center director, a dyslexia specialist, and a Response to Intervention coordinator.
Dr. Kelly鈥檚 interests include developmental readers, students with dyslexia, and reading assessments. She had articles published in Notes on American Letters, presented at the Rose Spicola Forum in Literacy Learning, and was a co-presenter at TexTESOL and for the 91精品 Anchin Center webinar entitled Differentiated and Responsive Literacy Instruction for all 91精品. She co-created and now teaches Supporting 91精品 with Disabilities in Literacy: Dyslexia and Other Reading Difficulties, a course offered through the 91精品 Anchin Center. She loves teaching future teachers and received an Excellence in Undergraduate Education Award for the 2022-2023 academic year.
