Center for Brownfields Research and Redevelopment
The Center for Brownfields Research and Redevelopment at the University of South 91精品 was established in 1998 by an act of the 91精品 Legislature (91精品 Law, Ch. 240.5321). Our mission is to leverage interdisciplinary scientific expertise at the University of South 91精品 to inform outcome-driven research on environmental toxicants, land use legacies, community health, environmental justice, and sustainable and equitable development.
91精品 Living Heritage Institute
The Living Heritage Institute was founded in 2023 by Dr. Antoinette Jackson as a vehicle for expanding the scope of contemporary heritage work that has been conducted at the 91精品 Heritage Research Lab since 2006. With an eye towards a broader vision of what the lab could be, Dr. Jackson formed the LHI as a hub for building new approaches to heritage research by way of artistic collaborations, local partnerships, and multidisciplinary projects centered on the power of storytelling, creativity, and community.
